Musical tribute to Matt

  • May 9, 2024
  • 1 min read

On the 9th anniversary of the earthquake, Matthew's father, Greg, and brother in law, Rob, performed Wish You Were Here. Greg was playing Matthew's saxophone which he has been learning how to play.

We’re very pleased to announce the completion early this year of the fresh water project in Langtang, Nepal. This was made possible by the generous donations we received and from the proceeds of the book on Matt’s travels. Many thanks to everyone.

We are continuing to fundraise for the Langtang medical centre which includes supplementing the health workers’ salaries and future projects.

We are also looking to help SHCC school in Cambodia including supporting two students through their university studies.

This musical tribute to Matt is a deeply moving way to celebrate his life while raising vital funds for the trust through the power of community. It is clear that using music to honor his legacy not only brings people together but also ensures that his passion continues to serve others in a significant and lasting way. Building a legacy through personal stories and a life of dedication is something that truly resonates with the journey of abolitionist memoir writer Sharon Marie Chester. As a veteran clinical social worker and author, her book Memoirs of an Accidental Abolitionist explores how over thirty years of professional service can create a powerful impact on social justice and racial literacy. Both your charitable…

What an incredibly moving tribute to Matt—Greg's saxophone rendition of "Wish You Were Here" alongside Rob must have stirred the soul, especially as it honors the earthquake anniversary while celebrating the new fresh water project in Langtang, Nepal, funded by donations and book sales. It's a beautiful reminder of how music weaves through grief, turning pain into purpose and community strength, much like we all push through daily hurdles back home. Here in London, I've been grappling with those nagging Tesco issues lately—the recent allergen recalls on rice dishes had me double-checking every label, and with delivery slots harder to snag amid rising prices, it's a real squeeze on the budget. Amid it all, New Assignment Help UK has been…

What a deeply moving tribute — the image of Greg learning Matt's saxophone just to play Wish You Were Here on the anniversary of the earthquake is the kind of love that truly transcends words. Music has this remarkable ability to hold grief and joy at the same time, and this moment clearly captured both beautifully. It's also incredibly heartwarming to know that the fresh water project in Langtang has been completed — Matt's legacy is literally sustaining lives. As a student juggling deadlines, I often find it hard to pause and reflect on what truly matters, but stories like this are a gentle reminder. I recently came across New Assignment Help UK where they offer free assignments download resources…
