Annual Matt Carapiet Award for Humanitarian Architecture awarded

We are delighted to announce that the winner of the second annual Matt Carapiet Award for Humanitarian Architecture at Nottingham University is final year architecture student Nefeli Kouroushi.

The judging panel, which includes Matt's father Greg, some of Matt's friends and last year's winner Jessie St Clair, thought Nefeli's project for a women's refuge was inspiring. She was presented with her award by Greg and his sister Denise at a ceremony on June 22.

She won a £300 prize and a copy of a forthcoming book based on Matt's photography and journals. She will also join next year's judging panel. Well done Nefeli!
